Service Description

Our basic drug and alcohol awareness training is for all professionals, including for parents as it is important for anyone working with or caring for young people should be aware of the possible substances that some young people misuse in order that they can provide support. Maximum Group Size: 16 Area: A suitable size space such as a classroom or a hall is essential The training will look at numerous substances from the commonly misused to the new drug trends. The training will look at the affects, both short and long term as well as the associated risks and this will be followed up with harm reduction advice, including which young people's drug and alcohol support service operates in your borough should you need to make a referral to them in order that the young person receive further support around their substance misuse. I will need to a projector and a computer / laptop (or I can provide my own laptop). At the end of training, there will be numerous hand outs with extra information for people take with them.
